Research Results Overview
Breast Cancer Trials has contributed to more than 1,310 publications since our inception in 1978 and many of these research results have changed practice in the treatment and prevention of breast cancer.
The publication of the results of clinical trials research in a scientific journal or a periodic publication, fulfils the researchers’ ethical obligations to research participants and the general community, and also contributes to medical knowledge.
It enables health professionals to make scientifically valid assessments of the benefits and risks of a new medicine or treatment for their patients.
BCT contributed to 30 publications in 2023/24, which consisted of:
- 11 journal/epublications in peer reviewed journals.
- 3 presentations at an annual conference.
